May the Label

Photography by Larissa Drazic
Shoes: Tony Bianco | Playsuit: May the Label | Hat: 66 the label | Bag: Alexander Wang
I think you guys all know my inherent obsession for playsuits, I just think there is nothing better then finding one you can dress up or down! I love this May the Label one with its low back, the colour is so perfect too and can be paired with anything from tan, black and beige I think thats why I think of Navy as one of my favourite colours.
I pictured the little playsuit with tan heels and loose curls at first but I thought it would be fun to dress it down in a casual sort of way.  I was hesitant a bit hesitant to do all black but it wound up looking pretty cute. I ended up pairing it with my new gladiator sandals and this straw hat, perfect for summer! Ps what do you guys think of my new hat? It's something different for me but can't wait to take on all my beach adventures. Also,  Exciting news, I have a couple of road trips planned for an exciting collaboration coming up next week, can't wait to share with all of you! Thanks for stopping by guys xx

Earthy tones

Photography by Larissa Drazic
Top: Zimmermann | Shorts: Bardot | Bracelet & rings: The peach box | Shoes: Tony Bianco
This post is a little late to the blog, I have been so busy these last couple of weeks! This rust colour is one of my favourites for this season. I loved the idea of pairing this colour with my suede shorts, it gives that real earthy tone vibe! I am so happy I decided to buy this Zimmermann top, there was a bit of umming and arring, because I sometimes find it hard to wear tops that are sheer, but its already had a few wears and  I think its going to be a great investment for these warmer days!
I kept the whole look pretty neutral by pairing it with my all time favourite Tony Bianco "Keen" heels. They are the perfect go to heel, so easy to dress up or down! I accessorised with gold jewellery but kept it simple with fine rings bracelets from a little label "The Peach Box" if you haven't already, definitely check these guys out so many goodies!
Shop this look in the links above, and thanks for stopping by! xxxx

Interview with Australian designer Benjamin Ringuet

Photography by Larissa Drazic
Shoes: Tony Bianco | Playsuit: Benjamin Ringuet | Sunglasses: Ray Ban
A little over three weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending Benjamin Ringuet's Spring/ Summer 15' showing.  I can't believe the quality and the colours of all his designs, he truly outdid himself! Pictured above I'm lucky enough to be wearing one of his new pieces, the amazing backless Hayden Playsuit. I love the high collar and structured body fit, with all its bright colours its perfect for Spring Racing season! I paired it with a stappy Tony Bianco Stilletto, because I didn't want to take away from the dreamy playsuit. I was lucky enough to sit down and have a chat with him about what inspired this collection and as well as his plans for the future:
I: What is your favourite part of being a fashion designer?
B: The opportunity to dress, style and meet customers inspired by my designs.

I: Your prints this season a very different to your last few collections, I love how bold they are! What were your inspirations for the designs you created for this show?

B: Thank you! Our floral print featured on the Romance styles was inspired by early Netherlandish paintings from the Flemish Renaissance period. The artwork featured upon the Ethereal Pencil Skirt and Signature Dress was created in an isolated reign of Wisconsin by experimentation with natural elements and light.  The Imagine artwork was designed while listening to Pink Floyd's album The Wall and Elloit Smiths From A Basement On A Hill.

I: On your website you say each dress has a story behind it, what’s the story of the Romance Pencil Skirt (This is my favourite piece of yours!)
B: It was designed for a person I have lost touch with. A reminder of special moments and memories shared. A fond farewell to a beautiful person.

I: What’s the stand out element of your most recent collection?
B: The complexity of the artwork. There was much trial and error involved in producing these new styles. Not just artistically but on a commercial level also.

I:  Describe the women you dress – who would be your ideal style icon for Benjamin Ringuet?
B: A young fashion focused independent female.

I:  What’s your most memorable fashion moment to date?
B: Recently I designed a maxi dress and called it Sienna Silk after my god daughter and niece Sienna Grace. This particular style was released to the public at an event Siennas mother attended. She had no idea that I named a style after her daughter.

I: What do you think is the most beautiful dress you have ever designed?
B: Our new season Imagine Wrap Dress. It took many months to not only design the artwork but craft the silhouette. It was created to be a visual illusion. If you study the artwork long enough you will understand the message I am trying to portray.

I:  You have some great stockists around Australia and internationally (America wow!), have you ever considered opening your own store?
B: We have been very lucky to gain strong stockists world wide. We currently have our own online store however I future goal would be to open our own boutique.

I: What are you plans for the future?
B: Continue to do what I love - Create designs that inspire the skeptical and enlighten the creative.

It was so inspiring to sit down and chat with Benjamin, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next, check out his new range here, and thanks for stopping by!
