Thailand travel diary

I am currently at home in Australia, laying low while catching up on emails, overdue posts and more importantly, friends! My backlog of unseen posts is quite extensively scattered over the past few months, but I thought putting them out on my blog, is better late than never, right? Because sometimes, life just gets in the way.
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful job that allows me to talk about travel, and experience different destinations like Thailand. I spent an unexpected week in Thailand at the start of November and tried to squeeze in as much I could! We stayed in Phuket and Bangkok, both hotels were in the most perfect location, which I believe is everything when you are travelling. We were lucky enough to be taken around on a speed boat to all the different bays on Phi Phi Island, and fortunately had the most perfect weather, it was absolutely breathtaking and I really fell in love with this part of Thailand. I first visited Phuket in 2011 with a few of my close girlfriends, to be completely honest I experienced no connection with Phuket at the time, and as a result I never planned to go back, this trip sure did change my mind.
For this reason, I’m extremely thankful for Thai Airways and Student Flights, for giving me this incredible experience. If you are thinking about travelling to Phuket, I could not speak more highly of the Andara Hotel. It was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen, and the restaurant, was second to none. The Andara villas were the perfect access point to Thailand that will make me so happy to go back and visit again! As for Bangkok, I am sucker for a big bustling city! If you are going to Bangkok, do yourself a favour and treat yourself to delicious cocktails on the Red Skybar (pictured above), it has 360 degree views of the city and is truly an experience! Staying near Siam Square in Bangkok is ideal as it it easy access to all the incredible shopping malls, you won't have far to travel to get around. (Intercontinental, Novotel and the Holiday Inn are all in perfect locations).. Thanks for stopping by, until next time! xo
