If you know me well enough, you'll surely know that New York City is my favourite city. I always get asked the same question, "What do you love about New York so much?" Well that's easy, New York never sleeps and it is the best city in the world, you can’t find a hustle like you find there. Every neighbourhood is equally as inspiring as the next. I always like to tell my clients, or those travelling to NYC for the first time, I will never forget my first time driving into Manhattan in one of their infamous yellow cabs, coming across the Manhattan bridge, I had this most overwhelming and extraordinary feeling, to this day I can't explain it but it was like nothing else. July last year, I was lucky enough to jetset to NYC for the third time, I have to say this was definitely my favourite trip so far and also my first trip with Cal! We rented a gorgeous AirBnb on Lower east side on Ludlow Street, which coincidently happened to be one block up from the apartment I rented in 2012! LES sure had changed from the slow paced neighbourhood it once was. Our apartment was located directly opposite Dirty French and next to my favourite rooftop bar Purple Monkey, I could not believe my luck!
We spent our first night treating ourselves to the delicious Dirty French, that completely blew our taste buds out of the water, I absolutely loved the decor, it's your typical French style bistro, and the food and service was second to none. The rest of our week was spent, brunching at our new favourite hot spots, sipping cocktails at our favourite rooftop bars and exploring NYC's best sights. I have put together a bit of a to do list for any novice New York tourists:
Everyone has different fashion sense and style but there is a the infamous 'Happy Square' which is a square of streets in Soho with some of the best designer as well as boutique shops in Manhattan. Its between W Houston and Canal Street and goes as far as Sullivan Street and Bowery. Some of my favourites are: Reformation Rag and Bone Opening Ceremony (more just a look and see haha!) Assembly Vince
